Getty Images is privileged to be the conservator of this epic historical resource and we strive to preserve, and share as we can, its peerless imagery. Due to the volume and diversity of our archive, only a portion of our images are published online.
So we digitize images on demand and our deep-file research team, the friendly experts who are familiar with the entire archival body, is available for a personalized service to help you find the right images you need from the archive -- some may not be digitized (analogue).
We track down images in our deep file for you -- some have never even been used before. The breadth of our collection, and partnerships, raises the odds of finding a strong image selection and provides a rarity that can enhance your project with a special distinctiveness.
In most cases, conducting deep-file research is free. (We negotiate charges for large multiple requests on a case-by-case basis.)
You’ll have an answer to your deep-file request usually within 24 hours. In some instances, we have turned requests around in a couple of hours, and sometimes it takes a little longer due to extenuating circumstances.
