February 2005 Getty Images Grant for Editorial Photography
More than 100 photographers from 24 countries submitted applications for the 2005 Getty Images Grants for Editorial Photography awarded in February. Most of those applications met all submission requirements and were evaluated by three independent judges during January. Each judge considered the anonymous projects and sample photographs independently, and then agreed to select two winning projects.
The judging panel for February comprised the following judges:
• Alain Genester, Editor in Chief, Paris Match
• Stephen Mayes, Director of Art and Commerce Anthology
• Reza, Award-winning photojournalist
September 2005 Getty Images Grant for Editorial Photography
More than 160 photographers from around the world submitted applications for the 2005 Getty Images Grants for Editorial Photography awarded in September. Most of those applications met all submission requirements and were evaluated by three independent judges during the week of August 8, 2005. Each judge considered the anonymous projects and sample photographs independently, and then agreed to select three winning projects.
The judging panel for September comprised the following judges:
• Maura Foley, Freelance photo editor, The New York Times
• Harald Menk, Foreign Photo Editor, Stern, Germany
• Reza, Award-winning photojournalist
