February 2008 Getty Images Grants for Editorial Photography
Photographers from around the world will submit applications for the Getty Images Grants for Editorial Photography, to be awarded in February and September 2008. Those applications will be evaluated by an independent panel of judges. Each judge will consider the anonymous projects and sample photographs independently, and then meet to select the winning projects.
Judges for grants to be awarded in February are:
• Simon Barnett, Director of Photography, Newsweek
• David Griffin, Director of Photography, National Geographic
• Alison Morely, Program Chair, International Center of
 Photography
• Rosanna Sguera, Photojournalism Editor, Vanity Fair
September 2008 Getty Images Grants for Editorial Photography
Judges for grants to be awarded in September are:
• Ruth Eichhorn, Director of Photography, GEO Magazine
• Jean-Francois Leroy, Director General, Visa Pour L’Image
• Tom Stoddart, Photojournalist
• Monica Allende, Picture Editor, Sunday Times Magazine, London
