February 2006 Getty Images Grants for Editorial Photography
More than 110 photographers from around the world submitted applications for the 2006 Getty Images Grants for Editorial Photography awarded in February. Most of those applications met all submission requirements and were evaluated by three independent judges during the week of January 9, 2006. Each judge considered the anonymous projects and sample photographs independently, and then the judges met to select two winning projects.
Judges for grants awarded in February were:
• David Burnett, Photojournalist and Co-Founder, Contact Press
 Images
• Giovanna Calvenzi, Director of Photography, Sportweek
• Natasha Lunn, Photo Editor, The New Yorker

Each judge considered the anonymous projects and sample photographs independently, and then the judges met to select three winning projects.
